We Mean It! Productions began in 1995 when we - Ellen Maremont Silver (then Ellen Elias) and Robyn Bramhall - wanted to see lesbian and gay comedy in our new backyard of Sonoma County, California. We were inspired by many years of seeing Tom Ammiano's Gay Comedy Extravaganza, held at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. So we decided to hire some comics, rent a hall, send out flyers and have a show. (Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland, move over!) Since that time, We Mean It! shows have filled more than 9,800 seats. All the comedians have been brilliant, of course. They have included:
